To Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that men can be saved [1 Timothy 2: 4; Matthew 28: 19-20; Matthew 6:33]
To offer praise and prayers to God [1 Peter 2: 9 | Colossians 1: 2 | 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18]
To train disciples of Christ and develop Christian maturity through the word of God [2 Timothy 2; 16 | 1 Peter 2: 2]
To establish a communion with:
Father, Son and Holy Spirit [1 Jon 1: 3 | Philippians 2: 1]
Each other [Act 2: 42 | 1 John 1: 7]
To preserve society from moral corruption [Matthew 5: 13-16]
To exercise authority and dominion over the kingdom of darkness [Luke 10: 18-20 | Ephesians 1: 15-23]
Being a Christian is more than just an instantaneous conversion – it is a daily process whereby you grow to be more and more like Christ.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing.
